~*Relationships*~

Oh, the comfort - the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person - having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all right out, just as they are, chaff and grain together; certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then with the breath of kindness blow the rest away.

Few days back, I got a small story in my mail and found it very very close to reality. Check this out

A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets. The girl agreed. The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised.

That night, the girl slept peacefully. But the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl had hidden some sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.

Moral of the story:If you don't give your hundred percent in a relationship, you'll always keep doubting if the other person has given his/her hundred percent.. This is applicable for any relationship like love, friendship, family, employer-employee relationship etc., Give your hundred percent to everything you do and sleep peacefully.

There's one sad truth in life I've found
While journeying east and west -
The only folks we really wound
Are those we love the best.
We flatter those we scarcely know,
We please the fleeting guest,
And deal full many a thoughtless blow
To those who love us best.

  2. I feel it is true that we hurt those who are closest the most but it is also true that we love them with the greatest passion as well.

As for the first story, I wonder if we can give our 100% to all that we do. I think doing things with an honesty would suffice and the 100% bit would be warranted by situations else life would be so draining. My two cents :)

we take them for granted and realize their importance later...
